Who we are

Travel that leaves places better than we found them

Omnira Journeys began in 2009, when our founder Tomás Rivera started leading treks in Peru with one rented minibus and a promise: small groups, fair wages and hotels owned by local families.

Today we run 380 departures a year across 18 countries, but the promise has not changed. We still cap every group at twelve and still pay our guides all year round.

2009

The first trek

Eight travellers walk the Inca Trail with Tomás and a team of twelve porters.
2013

Italy and Morocco

Our first trips outside South America, and our first local guide team in Sorrento.
2017

Japan

Mei Lin Harper joins and builds our Japan programme from Kyoto.
2021
