About this cause
One in eight households in our county is unsure where the next meal will come from. Our food bank in the Lents neighbourhood is open four days a week, and volunteers deliver to people who cannot travel.
We rescue surplus produce from local farms and grocers, so every dollar buys roughly six meals.
Families choose their own food, market-style, rather than receiving a pre-packed box.
