Overview
The classic 43 km trek to Machu Picchu, with permits secured months in advance. Our porters are paid fairly, carry legal loads and cook three hot meals a day on the trail.
We add two days in the Sacred Valley before the trek so you acclimatise gently, and a second visit to Machu Picchu after the crowds have left.

Day-by-day itinerary
Arrive in Lima and meet the group for a ceviche dinner in Barranco.
Fly to Cusco and descend to the Sacred Valley at lower altitude.
Pisac market and ruins, then a weaving co-operative in Chinchero.
Four days through cloud forest and over Dead Woman’s Pass, camping with a full crew and arriving at the Sun Gate at
dawn on day 7.
A second guided visit to the citadel, then train and road back to Cusco.
The tour ends after breakfast.
