Easing back pain at your desk

Easing back pain at your desk

Most desk-related back pain improves with movement and a few small changes.

Move often

Stand up and walk for a minute or two every half hour.

Set up your desk

Screen at eye level, feet flat on the floor and your chair supporting your lower back.

The best posture is your next posture. Keep changing position.

When to see a physio

If pain lasts more than a couple of weeks, keeps coming back or spreads down your leg, book an assessment.

Seek urgent care for back pain with numbness, weakness, or bladder or bowel changes.
