Choosing the right white paint

There are thousands of white paints, and choosing one is surprisingly hard. The secret is to look at the undertone, not the white.

Check the light

North-facing rooms make whites look cooler. Choose a white with a warm, yellow undertone to balance it.

Test big samples

Paint A3 sheets and move them around the room over a whole day.

There is no perfect white, only the right white for your light.

Match the trim

Use the same white on walls and trim in a slightly higher sheen for a calm, modern look.
