The project
A family house turned inward around a planted courtyard, private from the street and full of light within.
From the street, a quiet brick wall with a single timber gate. Inside, every room opens onto a courtyard with a Japanese maple at its centre.
Timber screens filter the light and give the children’s rooms their own small verandas.
