The brief
A dark, closed-off 1990s kitchen opened up into a bright kitchen and dining room with an eleven-foot island at its heart.
We removed a wall, moved the sink to the window and wrapped the island in fluted oak.
Warm oak cabinetry grounds the space, while honed marble and unlacquered brass will patina with every meal.
